Come Run With Us

Run 4 Wales has collaborated with Unify on a special campaign aimed at diversifying mass participation events.

The ‘Come Run With Us’ creative aims to engage with Cardiff’s diverse communities, who face a significant number of barriers before entering, to highlight these events are open for all.

The campaign is launching as part of this year’s Principality Cardiff Half, and follows a handful of Cardiff based runners who have taken part in Run 4 Wales events – including the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K and Brecon Carreg CDF 10K – in the lead up to Run 4 Wales’ flagship event this weekend.

It coincides with the theme for this year’s Cardiff Half – A Race For Everyone, to celebrate the diversity within the Welsh capital.

Yusuf Ismail, co-founded at Unify, said: “At Unify, we’ve always believed in the power of sport to bring people together, and our partnership with Run 4 Wales reflects that. Working on the ‘Come Run with Us’ campaign has been a meaningful way to broaden the running community in Wales by spotlighting the diversity that already exists here. Our aim is to showcase real stories from the ground up, inspiring more people—especially those from underrepresented communities—to see running as something for them. It’s about breaking barriers, creating connections, and showing that everyone has a place in running, with Run 4 Wales welcoming all. We’re excited about the future of this collaboration and grateful to Run 4 Wales for sharing our vision of inclusivity and community.”

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, said: “It’s really important to us to ensure our events are as inclusive and diverse as possible which is why our theme for the Cardiff Half this year is ‘A Race For Everyone’.

“At Run 4 Wales we’re working hard to diversify the sport and level the playing field to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to take part. This is also why we launch our 100 Club initiative into the race each year, a scheme whereby we gift 100 spaces into the event. It allows people to use them as a vehicle to improve their health and wellbeing and support them through their journey to the start line.

“We want to encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and running abilities get involved, and we hope this latest campaign from Unify will help in achieving this.”
