Sprint to secure your spot in Cardiff Half 2025!
Registration for the 2025 Cardiff Half Marathon is now open, with those keen to take part being encouraged to register as soon as possible, with the race due to sell out imminently.
There is unprecedented demand for next year’s race, which returns on Sunday 5 October in 2025, and thousands of spaces have already been snapped up by keen pre-registrants, who gained priority access to a launch sale this morning.
This year, a number of ticket releases are taking place – rewarding participants entering early with a discounted entry price. An initial release of 5,000 early bird entries offered a £15 saving, followed by a second ticket release priced at £45, offering a £10 saving versus the final release of general entry tickets priced at £55.
The first two ticket releases sold out in just over an hour, with a record 23,000 pre-registering to gain priority access to an early launch sale. The race is now on to secure one of the few remaining general entries – with the race expected to sell out in a matter of days.
With more runners than ever taking part in the SuperHalfs Series of races in Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia, demand to take part is increasing with runners from all over the world coming to Cardiff as part of their SuperHalfs journey.
Matt Newman, Chief Executive of Cardiff Half’s race organiser, Run 4 Wales, said: “The Cardiff Half Marathon continues to grow each year. This year saw a record number of runners take part in the event and we’re expecting an even higher demand for 2025.”
For those who are looking to run for a good cause, the first 100 to register to run for the event’s lead charity, NSPCC, can enter for just £1 when pledging to raise £300, rising to £10 once these have all been snapped up.
For those looking for an extra challenge they can take on the Welsh Distance Double, taking part in both the ABP Newport Marathon on 13 April and Cardiff Half on 5 October for just £84.
