Get ready to run the Run 4 Wales 10K Series 2025
The Run 4 Wales 10K series is back for 2025 and runners are being challenged to conquer the races and complete the set.
Entries are now live for the events taking place in Newport, Porthcawl and Cardiff – with the chance to save if entering more than one event.
First up is the ABP Newport 10K on Sunday 13 April. The flat and fast course is part of the ABP Newport Marathon Festival which also features a marathon and half marathon distance.
The Porthcawl 10K follows on Sunday 6 July taking runners on a journey along the area’s stunning coastline and picturesque town centre.
The series then finishes with the increasingly popular Brecon Carreg CDF 10K on Sunday 7 September, offering participants a spectacular sightseeing tour of the Welsh capital.
Each of the races’ medals awarded at the finish line will form part of a special interlocking set – and runners are being challenged to collect them all.
For those who are keen to take on the challenge a limited number of 10K Series Bundle tickets are available.
Matt Newman, Chief Executive at Run 4 Wales, said: “We’re really looking forward to bringing our 10K Series back for 2025. The events are always well supported, have plenty of atmosphere and a chance for the whole family to get involved with a number of supporting junior and family-fun races happening alongside.
“For those who want to push themselves to take on the entire series and collect the set of matching medals, we’d encourage them to act fast if they want to save on their entry fee. There are only 1,000 series bundle tickets available and more than half have already been snapped up by those who pre-registered.”
The 10K Series Bundle offer gives runners the option to buy a three event Season Ticket for £78 (offering a £18 saving versus general entry) or a Two Event Pass for £54 (giving a £10 saving versus general entry).
For those looking for single race entry, there are 500 early bird spaces up for grabs into each of the events for £28 (a £4 saving versus general entry).
Once these have gone general entry will be available at £32, or £30 for affiliated runners.
At present the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K and ABP Barry Island 10K cannot be included in the series launch for 2025. Discussions are ongoing with Cardiff City Council around the feasibility of a 10K route in Cardiff Bay whilst development work takes place in preparation for a new indoor arena and tram line. The Barry Island 10K was last held in 2023 but was placed on pause in 2024 following discussions with the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
If either event is added to the series for 2025 at a later date, participants will be able to access equivalent entry discounts to those being offered for the current 3-event series.
